Sunset over Keswick

The group is a mixture of photographers, ranging from beginners to the more experienced. We use a range of cameras: some of us use point and shoot, and some of us more advanced kit, and increasingly members are using their smartphones to take photographs. We have some really good people who are always willing to impart their knowledge and help others.

Every month, we all send up images to illustrate our take on the month's themes to discuss and enjoy.

In addition to sharing photos we also discuss composition or the technical aspects the cameras we use. We will touch on some aspects of post production to help get the most out of the software we have.

Our themes

Each month we have an option to shoot two themes. We have tried to make the pairings contrasting so that if you don't fancy one the perhaps the other will be to your liking. Shoot one or the other or both.

We’re also looking for seasonal shots throughout the current year so keep an eye out for opportunities to capture images associated with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. These can be submitted monthly.

Our Photo Walks

We also go out and about on photo-walks. It is always interesting to see what images people come back with having been the the same place at the same time.
