Photography Group Upload Instructions

Rather than members emailing their photographs each month we use Dropbox to gather the contributions.

A couple of weeks before the meeting you will receive an email reminder. This will contain two upload links, one for each subject. Click on the relevant link to upload your photo for that subject as described below.

Bear in mind that the instructions below are pretty generic and may well vary between devices and operating systems

Assuming you have put in the correct email address you will get an email confirmation of the upload; in any event you will see in the browser if it has been successful.

Note on Uploading your photographs

Please upload your photos as individual files (you can upload multiple files in one go), rather than within  folder. This is because when you upload individual files they are renamed with a prefix which is your name. If you upload a folder, the folder is renamed but the photos aren't.

Renaming your Images

You don't need to rename your photos unless your want to give them a descriptive title. The upload process will automatically add your name.

Resizing your Images

There is no need to resize your image except it will make the upload quicker. If you are going to resize I suggest you resize to no smaller the 2000 pixels on the long edge. That way the image should not be enlarge above 100% when displayed on the laptop
