Catherine stepped in at the last minute to provide today's walk with some relief from the mud of the last few weeks. We started at the Lockkeeper and walked down the canal towards Worksop to circle Sandhill Lake. We retraced out steps up the canal and continued to Shireoaks before returning over the old pit tip

February 9th
Vickie started at the Carrs in Church Warsop and led us on a walk through the village and out to the edge of Sherwood Forest. We left Market Warsop via Upper Cross Lane and its sausage and bacon farms, before entering the woods at Gleadthorpe New Plantation. We walked through to the Lings and returned to Warsop via Burns Lane and Manor Road.

February 16th
In an attempt to find a cleaner walk than last time out, Roger led ten of us from the Vicar Water Country Park. We arrived in the pouring rain but set off in the dry. We walked up to Newland and down to the Spa Ponds. Then we followed the River Maun to Cavendish Wood before entering Kings Clipstone on Squire Lane. We return to Vicar Water down the bridleway that is Nation Cycle Route 6

Janet took us on an urban walking tour around Worksop starting from the Lockkeeper. We enjoyed a large turnout for this different walk.
