It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Keith Snowden.

Keith joined the u3a soon after it started in 2009 and continued to be a loyal and active member of the various groups he attended.

During my time as Chairman, Keith’s support was a great help as we began to create working groups such as Finance, Social, Meet & Greet etc, with Keith developing the Publicity Team. I always appreciated talking with him, he was a great listener and made interesting and well-meaning comments.

Someone once said ‘whenever he meets you he always has a smile and a twinkle in his eyes’, that made it an enjoyment to meet him. The time came when I had to step down from the Chairman’s position and it was good to hear that Keith had taken my place, with all its responsibilities, and what a good job he made of it.

Keith will be sadly missed by the groups he belonged to and by his friends from the Membership of theu3a. To Lynn and all the family, we send our condolences and love for it was an honour and greatpleasure to have known such a wonderful man.
