We are a small group of people with varying abilities from rusty French O Level to A Level and beyond.

We often have a theme for a meeting when members will read what they have prepared or speak from notes depending on their confidence. This allows us to ask questions and discuss what we have listened to.

We often use news items from Sallieannfrenchfocus on the internet, using this to practise our pronunciation and ability to translate.

We all feel comfortable with members correcting our pronunciation or grammar in what we have read or said. We really are a self help group.

We continued to meet during the Pandemic, using Zoom, and have continued to use this as our members are scattered over the whole Worksop and District area. We meet once a week for 40 minutes. Members have said the shorter 40 minute sessions kept us better focussed.

As a group we also communicate via a WhatsApp group.
