Members’ Monthly Meetings – Please Can You Help?
It is wonderful to see so many people attending our monthly meetings, but it is stretching our Committee members who work hard to ensure the meetings run smoothly. There are a few ‘jobs’ to be done at the meetings. Perhaps you would like to help out?
Kitchen
Preparing and serving up to 80 cups of tea and coffee with biscuits and washing up and clearing away afterwards – we would like to create a ‘team’ of assistants who can help Claire in the kitchen. With sufficient volunteers you wouldn’t need to do this every month, but it would be great if there could be two people each month to give this assistance.
Please report to Claire in the kitchen at the next meeting.
Be a ‘Buddy ’ – Meeters And Greeters
We know it can be daunting to walk into a room full of strangers for the first time. We would like to expand the Meeters and Greeters team to ensure that newcomers are made welcome.
Do you attend the monthly meeting regularly? Do you enjoy a good chat? Are you enjoying your involvement with the u3a? If so, then please consider becoming a ‘Buddy’. You will work alongside the Meet and Greet Team and help new members to have a welcoming and informative first few visits.
