The end of August completes the Pétanque Group summer points competition.

A number of weeks were chosen at random by the group members and scores were recorded and accumulated. Thee number of wins was divided into the points gained in the first match on those days to reach an average of points per win

Third place went to Steve, who had only one win but it was by 7 points.

In second place was Joyce.

The winner this year was new member Elaine who only joined us this year. Ray (her other half) had the highest number of points but because he had lots of wins his average was not high enough to be placed.

It was suggested that we have a booby prize so this went to Megan, who had achieved the most wins but her average was lower than the top three.
